Succulent Groundcover Collection

Well-adapted to dry growing conditions, our Succulent Groundcover Collection is an excellent addition to rock gardens and succulent collections. These colorful plants can easily create the focal point of a waterwise alternative lawn, a rock garden, or gravel garden, or planted to spruce up a walkway. They are best planted between stepping stones or at the edge of a walkway, as they cannot tolerate foot traffic. Plant the Ice Plants (Delosperma) and Creeping Sedum between taller xeric (low water) perennials to form a nicely colored carpet that will spread and root as it grows. The collection is good for small gardens, or it can be repeated to fill in larger spaces. They can also be planted in containers, where their low-growing habit and gentle spreading will have them delicately spilling over edges. This collection pairs well with Sun Dancer Daisy (Hymenoxys), small growing beardtongues (Penstemon), and cold-hardy cacti (Echinocereus).
